Researching science, security, and society in a global perspective
Dr. Dagmar Vorlíček is a social scientist specialising in international relations and security studies. Her research focuses on the role of knowledge and expertise in global politics, with particular emphasis on global health and biological security. She has worked on topics such as biological weapons, dual-use research, biobanking, and disinformation.
She is currently a University Assistant at the Department of Sociology at the University of Vienna, a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Global Studies at the University of Sussex, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of International Relations and Development.
